Data stored by the app
Project titles, notes, repair states, parts notes, annotations, preferences, photographs, and source videos are stored locally in the app’s private storage on the user’s Android device. The app does not transmit this data to the developer or to a backend service.
Permissions
The app requests camera permission when camera features are used. Camera access is used to take still photographs, record source videos, and provide the optional live alignment overlay. The overlay is not recorded or saved.
Microphone permission is requested only when the user enables audio for a video recording. Audio recording is off by default. Silent video recording remains available without microphone access.
Photos and videos selected through Android’s Photo Picker and project files selected or saved through Android’s document interface are accessed only for the user-requested operation. The app does not request broad photo or storage access.
Exports
Users can export a project as a .putback file. This is an unencrypted ZIP archive containing project data and generated guide photographs. Source videos and their audio remain local and are not included. Anyone with access to an exported file may view its contents. The user controls where an export is stored and who receives it.
Backup and deletion
Android cloud backup is disabled for the app. Deleting a project removes its app-managed photographs, source videos, and data. A source video can be deleted separately without removing guide frames extracted from it. Uninstalling the app removes its private local data, subject to Android device behaviour. Files that a user previously exported are outside the app’s control and must be deleted separately.
Children
The app is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other user.
